The importance of a balance diet

A balance diet is like the gel to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, it is vitally important. A balance diet should have the right amount of carbohydrates, protein, fats, fruits and vegetables. It protects you in day to life as it makes your immune system stronger and gives your body the right vitamins and minerals it needs to function.

Proteins are important to grow and repair the muscle e.g if you’ve had a workout and you’ve torn muscle fibres, protein is the number one for protein synthesis which is the muscles repairing and getting stronger. Fats are more important than people usually think as your body can’t generate them itself, they help absorb important vitamins.

Carbohydrates are the body fuel, out of any type of food group they give you the most energy. Carbohydrates have fibre, starch and sugars found in them which is great to help the body function an example of this is eating a lot of carbohydrates before a gym workout as you need lots of energy to perform In the gym. Vitamins and minerals give your body the essential nutrients it needs to function in day to day life, one of they’re jobs is to transfer food into energy.
